Top 5 Music and Audio Apps on Android in El Salvador: Q3 2022

The third quarter of 2022 saw interesting trends in the performance of top music and audio apps on the Android platform in El Salvador. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user metrics for the top 5 apps in this category.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between approximately 10K and 14K. Notably, the app peaked in the week of July 25 with 13.4K downloads. The weekly active users showed a steady increase throughout the quarter, starting at around 592K and reaching up to 633K in late August.

Lark Player:Music Player & MP3 also demonstrated stable performance. Weekly downloads ranged from about 7.7K to 10.5K, peaking in early August. Weekly active users hovered around 245K at the beginning of the quarter, with a slight rise to 269K by mid-September.

StarMaker: Sing Karaoke Songs experienced significant fluctuations in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 16.7K in the last week of August. Active users saw a noticeable increase from 31.2K at the start of the quarter to 44.5K by the end of August, before stabilizing around 37K towards the end of September. The app also recorded a modest weekly revenue, peaking at $120 in late June.

Default Music Player showed a more varied download pattern, with weekly downloads ranging from 4.7K to 10.1K. The active user base, however, remained relatively stable, starting at 124K in late June and ending at 113K in late September.

Finally, Download Music Mp3 had a notable decrease in performance metrics. Weekly downloads dropped from around 9.8K in late June to just over 2.4K by the end of September. Similarly, active users declined from 40.9K to 26.2K over the same period.
